Head of Engineering
Own Anthrobase's technical direction end to end, from capture hardware to the data platform that turns raw sessions into licensed datasets. You will hire and lead a small senior team and set the engineering bar for our data standard.
What you’ll do
- Set architecture across capture rigs, synchronization, ingestion, and our data pipeline.
- Hire and mentor the founding engineering team across capture, ML, and platform.
- Make tight synchronization and frame-level provenance first-class guarantees.
- Partner with the founders on roadmap, hiring, and customer and investor diligence.
What we look for
- 8+ years building data or ML infrastructure, including time as a hands-on lead or staff engineer.
- Shipped systems handling multimodal or sensor data at real scale.

- Clear judgment on what to build, buy, and defer at pre-seed.

Head of Capture Engineering
Own the capture stack: the wearable and fixed sensor rigs, hardware-clocked synchronization, and the on-site pipeline that records every session cleanly and completely, without losing a frame.
What you’ll do
- Design and harden the multi-sensor rig across RGB, gaze, IMU, audio, and environment.
- Guarantee tight synchronization and clean ingestion across modalities.
- Build the tooling field teams use to run and validate sessions on site.
- Drive the capture roadmap as new verticals come online.
What we look for
- Strong systems or embedded background with real sensor-fusion experience.
- Hands-on with cameras, IMUs, time synchronization, and real-time capture.
- Pragmatic about field conditions, not just lab setups.
- Track record shipping reliable hardware-software systems.

Technical Architect
Own the system architecture across capture, synchronization, ingestion, and our data platform. Set the technical standards and make the build-versus-buy calls that keep Anthrobase fast and reliable as it scales.
What you’ll do
- Define end-to-end architecture from capture rigs to dataset delivery.
- Set engineering standards, service interfaces, and our data model.
- Make build, buy, and defer decisions across the stack.
- Guide the team on reliability, synchronization, and provenance guarantees.
What we look for
- 8+ years in software or data architecture, including large multimodal or sensor systems.
- Fluent across distributed data systems and hardware-adjacent software.
- Strong judgment on simplicity, scale, and technical debt.

Camera Systems & Calibration Engineer
Own the imaging pipeline: camera selection, intrinsic and extrinsic calibration, multi-camera and depth alignment, and the image quality every downstream model depends on.
What you’ll do
- Calibrate and maintain egocentric and depth camera systems across sites.
- Build automated calibration and quality-check routines for field deployment.
- Register RGB, depth, and motion into a single, well-aligned spatial frame.
- Diagnose optical, exposure, and synchronization issues in real footage.
What we look for
- Solid computer-vision fundamentals, especially multi-view geometry and calibration.
- Experience with depth sensors, stereo, and camera intrinsics and extrinsics.
- Python and OpenCV, and comfort with real, messy capture data.
- Detail-oriented about image quality and registration.

Founding CV Engineer
Turn raw capture into structured perception: body and hand pose, gaze features, object and contact state, and the derived signals that make our datasets useful for training.
What you’ll do
- Build perception pipelines for pose, hand tracking, gaze features, and scene state.
- Convert raw multimodal sessions into clean, retargetable training signals.
- Implement DPDP-compliant derived features, with no raw biometric storage.
- Evaluate and improve perception quality against expert-graded ground truth.
What we look for
- Strong CV/ML background with hands-on pose, tracking, or 3D perception work.
- PyTorch, and experience taking models from research to reliable pipelines.
- Familiarity with egocentric video, human motion, or robotics data a plus.
- Care for data quality and reproducibility.

Capture Lead, Field Operations
Run capture on the ground. Build relationships with partner sites and practitioners, manage consent and sessions, and make sure every recording meets our quality bar before it leaves the field.
What you’ll do
- Lead capture sessions across hospitality, craft, aviation MRO, and construction.
- Manage practitioner consent, compensation, and a respectful capture experience.
- Operate and troubleshoot capture rigs on location.
- Own session quality and chain of custody from the field to ingestion.
What we look for
- Strong field-operations or production background; calm under real-world conditions.
- Excellent people skills with experts and institutions.
- Comfortable with hardware and willing to travel frequently.

Multimodal Machine Learning Engineer
Build the models and benchmarks that prove Anthrobase data trains better policies, from multimodal representation learning to retargeting demonstrations onto humanoid and arm embodiments.
What you’ll do
- Train and evaluate multimodal models on synchronized demonstration data.
- Build retargeting and cross-embodiment baselines in LeRobot, Open X-Embodiment, and RLDS.
- Design benchmarks that measure dataset value for imitation learning and RL.
- Work with lab customers to align data with their training needs.
What we look for
- Strong ML background, hands-on with multimodal or robotics learning.
- PyTorch or JAX, and familiarity with IL/RL and post-training methods.
- Publications or shipped models in relevant areas a plus.
- Comfortable in ambiguity at the research-to-product boundary.

Data Platform Engineer
Build the platform that turns thousands of hours of raw sessions into versioned, queryable, audit-grade datasets with frame-level provenance.
What you’ll do
- Build ingestion, storage, and processing for large multimodal datasets.
- Implement versioning, lineage, and frame-level chain of custody.
- Build export pipelines to the formats robotics teams use, including LeRobot, Open X-Embodiment, and RLDS.
- Ensure DPDP-aligned residency, retention, and deletion workflows.
What we look for
- Strong data-engineering background at scale across storage, pipelines, and orchestration.
- Comfortable with large media and sensor data on cloud infrastructure.

Partner Operations Lead
Grow and run the partner network: hotels, MRO facilities, craft collectives, and training institutes that host capture under signed MoUs and clear legal frameworks.
What you’ll do
- Source, sign, and manage capture-site partnerships across verticals.
- Own MoUs, scheduling, and the partner relationship end to end.
- Coordinate field capture logistics with the operations team.

Annotation & QA Lead
Own data quality. Build the human-in-the-loop review process, expert grading workflows, and QA standards that make every Anthrobase session benchmark-grade.
What you’ll do
- Design annotation, grading, and review workflows with expert reviewers.
- Build QA standards and tooling for multimodal session review.
- Manage a review team and maintain inter-rater reliability.

Founding GTM, Enterprise
Take Anthrobase data to robotics labs and enterprises. Own the commercial motion from first conversation to signed dataset license, working directly with the founders.
What you’ll do
- Build the go-to-market motion for selling demonstration datasets to labs and enterprises.
- Run technical sales conversations with robotics and ML teams.
- Scope custom dataset engagements and shape licensing terms.
- Feed market signal back into the capture roadmap.
What we look for
- Technical GTM or sales background, ideally in data, ML, or infrastructure.

Capture Engineering Intern

Computer Vision / ML Intern
Help build the perception and learning pipelines that run on synchronized human-demonstration data.
What you’ll do
- Prototype pose, tracking, or multimodal models in PyTorch.
- Build evaluation and data-quality tooling.
- Turn research ideas into working experiments.
